Due to the large volumes of customers switching electricity supplier, deregulation of the Large Energy Users and Medium & Small Business Markets is scheduled for the 1st October 2010. Full deregulation of Ireland's electricity market is due to occur in early 2011 when sufficient rates of customer switching have occurred in the domestic market.
